Companion CD-ROM: board/software/komodo directory

The /board/software/komodo directory contains the complete source code for the Komodo Tool. The Komodo debugger is used in the Digital Systems Laboratory to communicate with the DSLMU Microcontroller Board and to debug your programs being run on that board. Outside the lab you can only use the Komodo debugger in its simulation mode. Please note that you do not usually need to use these files; installing the precompiled binaries available for your platform (Linux or Windows) is almost always sufficient.

You may wish to recompile the tools specifically for your platform. This would only be necessary if you were not using Linux or Windows (under Cygwin) on the i386 architecture (the i386 architecture includes the Intel 386, 486, Pentium and higher microprocessors, as well as microprocessors from Intel’s competitors, such as the AMD K6, Athlon and Duron). Currently Komodo can be compiled for x86 Linux, Windows (under Cygwin), MacOS X and Sparc Solaris. In all such cases, you are on your own; however, you might like to use the Precompiled linux packages or Precompiled windows packages as a starting point.

You should consult the [PDF] An Intruduction to Komodo document before using the Komodo debugger.
